Mencap Shop

The Mencap Shop is in the grounds of Acorn Enterprises in Trinity. Now open mornings for goods and cards suitable for all occasions, especially at Christmas.

What we do

Over the past 30 years, Jersey Mencap has worked in partnership with many individuals, institutions and other charitable organisations in obtaining assistance to provide improved facilities and services for people with learning difficulties.
Childrens Half-Term Art Week

As part of our TakingPart MakingArt project we held a childrens art week during half-term.  It was at La Motte Street Youth Centre and our artist MichelleLe Cornu headed up the week.  It was attended by 7 children from Mont a l’Abbe School and as you can see they were an artistic and imaginative group of youngsters.  We hope you enjoy these pictures of the work they produced.
We are very grateful to CHANNEL 103 for funding the costs of the week.

Jersey Mencap, working in partnership with The National Trust for Jersey, CS Conservation and The Jersey Employment Trust, have an exciting new project which will provide better choice of meaningful day-time activities, volunteering and work experience opportunities for young people and adults with a learning disability.

Learning Disability Awareness Week.

June 16th - 21st is Learning Disability Awareness Week.
