Launch of Heartfelt Les Amis Report

Dear Members & Friends

Early in 2008 Jersey Mencap received a request from Les Amis to fund a Report of their organisation, mainly around evaluation, service design, systems change and development.  We received a proposal of how this could be carried out from Heartfelt and after consideration accepted their proposal and agreed to the funding of the report.

Heartfelt are a well respected company in the UK who are committed to providing quality training and consultancy in the field of social care.  They have twelve consultants - seven of whom have used services and two family carers.  They  have worked with many organisations throughout the UK carrying out this type of work, including East Ayrshire Council, The Care Commission, The Princess Royal Carers Trust, People First Wales, The Centre for Confidence and Well-being: Scottish Borders Council and The Scottish Government.

We would like to invite you to the launch of this Report in order that you are up to date with what is and what will be happening to the services that Les Amis offer.  These are exciting and challenging times for Les Amis and we think it important that you are part of these times.

There are two opportunities to attend an evening and a day-time.  (8th July 6.45pm - 9pm at St Pauls Centre and 9th July 9.45am - 1.00pm at Oakfield, blue building on the right as you drive into Highlands College Main Car Park) Itineraries to both events are downloadable from the links below.  Could you please telephone the Jersey Mencap office on 866622 or email us via our web form advising us if you can attend and whether you will be coming to the daytime or evening launch of the Report.
